The other find from my Prosser trip was a tablecloth that ended the long search for a window treatment in the family room. I had searched high and low for a fabric that suited my taste, but of course, it would have to come in the form of a tablecloth. Which was actually to my advantage, since some of the hemming was done for me!
I simply chopped it into three equal pieces (adding room for and sewing up half-inch seams where needed), sewed some chocolate brown grosgrain ribbon to each end, tied them up to some decorative knobs, and voila! Easy peasy, and I even had enough leftover to make a matching pillow for the loveseat. Love that polyfil.

ummmm....super cute. I LOVE PAISLEY!
You are so amazing! Looks so great!
I love it! It looks very pretty. I made the valances in my dining area from a Pottery Barn shower curtain. Same story. I looked high and low for something I liked, and couldn't find good valances ANYWHERE. The shower curtain was on clearance and it was a print that I had liked for a long time, so I got it. And just like you said, it was nice that some of the measuring and hemming was already done.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the pattern.
ooohhh...I'm putting this in my favorites--I am in desperate need of window treatments around my house!!
Beautiful and very classy! Glad you got away with a friend for a girls day out!
Oh, I love your valance!! So wish we lived close ... I have a craft room that needs serious help!
wow! I love that! I had the same dilemma, only opposite, needed a table cloth and it came in the form of a shower curtain!
I LOVE this! Wow! You are so amazing...really. It looks oh so good. Hmm...maybe I can steal your idea to open up possibilities for a valance in the piano room. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
